Vanuatu PM Kilman Defeats No-Confidence Motion WELLINGTON, New Zealand (Radio New Zealand International, Dec. 9, 2012) – The government of Vanuatu’s Prime Minister Sato Kilman has defeated a motion of no-confidence against him in parliament. The motion, lodged by the opposition, was defeated, 27 votes to 23. The extra-ordinary parliamentary sitting was originally scheduled to take place last Friday but was adjourned until today after the Supreme Court overturned a ruling by the speaker that the opposition’s motion was not in order.
