Fataleka gets outboard motors, chainsaws, cash

HONIARA, Solomon Islands (Solomon Star, April 29, 2008) – The Member of Parliament for Fataleka constituency handed over two outboard motor engines, six chainsaws and two checks to his constituency.

[PIR editor’s note: Fataleka is in northern Malaita, an island in the Solomon Islands north of Guadalcanal. ]

The OBM are part of the fisheries project under the Ministry of Fisheries.

The chainsaws are for the constituency’s housing project.

A check of FJ$80,000 [US$54,000] is for St Mark Church building in Ata’a and the second check for FJ$16,000 [US$11,000] was handed to West Fataleka to purchase fishing rafts.
